FrauVonDa//: STILL::SILENCE

AckerstadtPalast Berlin, 23/05

In May 2025, the month commemorating the end of the Second World War, FrauVonDa// creates an ode to democracy with STILL::SILENCE.
At the centre of the installation concert is the moving and unacknowledged greek resistance of the female partisans against the German occupation, and the question of a universal human understanding of justice and democracy.

Claudia van Hasselt and Nicolas Wiese have been invited to a seaside residency on Ishigaki Island (Okinwawa/JP) > MA UMI RESIDENCIES 18/03–01/04.
Public presentation/performance: March 30th
Exploring the unseen and unheard habitats of the island. FrauVonDa// will follow two paths: listening to both thriving and dying corals and tracing the wisdom of older generations who once lived in harmony with the island.
